ROLINE Mini DisplayPort-DVI Adapter, MiniDP M - DVI F.
The Mini DisplayPort DVI Adapter connects a graphics card with a mini DisplayPort connector and a DVI monitor using a DVI M-M cable. A passive adapter/connector providing excellent resolution, 1920 x 1080, 1920 x 1200 @60 Hz plus with male and female connectors. The DisplayPort DVI adapter works in one direction and the DisplayPort plug must be connected to the source.

Difference in Active and Passive Converters?
Active adapters are excellent if using long cables and video conversion applications When using video converters, the will normally have built-in hardware which improves image resolution.
Passive adapters have only copper wire between your source and the display plus the signal is un-processed by any hard or software which may interfere with data.
Always be sure of what your needs are for copy and content protection, resolution and length of cable. Match your needs to the specification of the products available.
