TE Connectivity Piezo Spiral Wrapped Coaxial Cable
TE Connectivity’s MEAS piezo cable acts as a piezo sensor. Constructed from 20 AWG stranded silver-plated copper wire inner inductor, this piezo cable has two ribbons of PVDF film helically wound around the inner inductor. It is braided and jacketed with an extruded high density polymer. The piezo cable sensor is rugged, stands up to heavy loads and is ideal for use in high EMI environments as it is self-shielded.
Product Application Information
Suitable applications include safety and security fencing, perimeter intrusion detection and weather sensing.
Other applications include cable tampering detectors, structural NDT/strain/vibration, underwater acoustics, sports scoring and foul lines. This Piezo cable is ideal for door edge or vehicle bumper switches and patient mattress monitors.
