An electronic soft start for dc permanent magnet and wound field motors running from battery or rectified smoothed dc supplies. The starting current and acceleration are adjustable giving a cost effective method of switching low voltage motors. Reversing versions can be a cost-effective alternative to using dc contactors.

Electronic current limit fully adjustable up to 36A
Adjustable ramp time
Reversing version incorporates reversing contactors
Eliminates mechanical snatching
