MC78L00A Linear voltage regulator, ON Semiconductor

This remarkable ON Semiconductor 5-volt linear voltage regulator comes under the MC78L00A family. These products are monolithic integrated circuits designed as fixed-voltage regulators for a wide range of applications including local, on-card regulation. The positive voltage regulator requires no external components and incorporates internal thermal overload protection and current limiting plus safe area compensation. There is no need for external components although it is possible to adjust the voltage and current with external devices.
