BM70 Bluetooth 4.2 Compact Demo Board (CDB)

The BM-70-CDB compact demo board is a rapid prototyping and development tool for Bluetooth Low-Energy wireless applications. It is based on the BM70 Bluetooth 4.2 compliant RF module. Smartphone apps from Microchip are available on the Apple iTunes® and Google Play™ Store to demonstrate the capabilities of the BM70 module: SmartDiscover, SmartData and BLESensorApp.

BM-70-CDB Board Features

• BM70 Bluetooth Low Energy 4.2 RF module
• On-board MCP2200 USB-UART Bridge for PC connection
• On-board MCP1700 +3.3V LDO regulator
• On-board MCP112 +1.9V brown-out detector
• 4 x DIP switches to set operating mode
• Status indicator LED
• Reset pushbutton
• USB micro-B socket
• Test point for current measurement
• Jumper link to select USB or Coin-cell power supply
• Breakout headers for BM70 or Sensor board connection
• CR2032 coin-cell holder

RN4870 Sensor Board Features

• PDV-P8104 LDR light sensor
• User pushbutton
• User LED
• User 20kΩ potentiometer for analogue input
• 4 x DIP switches for sensor connection
