ATPROTO1-XPRO Xplained Pro Extension Board
The ATPROTO1-XPRO Xplained Pro Extension Board has been designed to prototype small circuits. The board can be categorized into three parts;
1) The Prototyping Area
Both through-hole and SMD components can use the 200 square pads for prototyping. It is very easy to establish accurate connections using the letters and numbers that are marked on both sides of the board. If needed, a solderless breadboard can go on top of the extension board.
2) Top Section
The top section of the extension board breaks away to connect external power to a Xplained Pro MCU board with a screw terminal block.
3) Bottom Section
The bottom section of the extension board consists of a right angled header, a vertical header and a prototyping area.
The right angled header connects to any Xplained Pro MCU board whilst the vertical header can connect both extension modules or extension signals to the protoyping area.
Beneficial characteristics of the Xplained Pro platform are the integration of Atmel Studio, the inclusion of Atmel software framework drivers and demo code and support streaming data.
