Castrol Cutting Fluids, Clearedge EP284
A semi-synthetic high performance nitrate free soluble coolant for general machine shop use. Suitable for a wide range of machining operations on most common engineering materials, including ferrous and non-ferrous materials, stainless steel and ceramics.
Can be used in muti-tool and automatic lathes, drills, reamers, millers, threaders etc.
Effectiveness in a wide range of applications allow the reduction of the number of cutting fluids required
Very tolerant of water hardness, stable emulsions in both soft and hard water
Over 250 ppm total hardness water should be softened prior to making emulsion
Emulsifies tramp oil giving longer coolant life
Recommended concentrations: 2 to 7%
Refractometer factor: 0.96
Translucent, fluorescent green emulsion
