This grade of Torlon is modified with the addition of graphite and fluorocarbon for good wear resistance, low friction and high compressive strength. Applications include bearings, thrust washers, wear pads, and piston rings.

Torlon Rod
Provides better compressive strength and higher impact resistance than most high performance plastics. Extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion and high creep resistance.,Environmental: Torlon is unaffected by strong acids (pH<3), but ultra violet light and strong alkalis will cause dimensional change. Steam at 160° will cause decomposition.
