Q: Is this connector easy to use?

A: The cable connector pieces assemble by screwing together, requiring no special tooling. However, the connector terminates by solder, meaning wires must be soldered on to the contacts. The panel mount/chassis mount sockets and plugs are secured by simple screw holes.

Q: Are there accessories available for these connectors?

A: There is a dust cap designed to maintain IP rating on both plugs (RS 115-2023) and sockets (RS 115-2045) when they are unconnected.
